LifeVac
The vision of LifeVac came from a story that Arthur Lih, founder and CEO of LifeVac, heard of a woman in a hospital weeping following the death of her young son. The reason for his death was that a grape had become lodged in his windpipe and the Heimlich Maneuver did not work. Once he heard the story he set out to invent an apparatus that could clear an airway.
Life-Saving Products
We demonstrate proper use of specialized equipment in our CPR training classes
The LifeVac kit is a revolutionary device that can help save lives in an emergency situation. It is an advanced airway management system designed to quickly and easily provide continuous positive pressure (CPP) ventilation during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The device uses a specialized, high-pressure vacuum to keep the airway open and provide uninterrupted pressure during compressions, which ensures that more oxygen is delivered to the patient's lungs, increasing their chances of survival.

Using the LifeVac kit is also quite simple. First, the professional attaches the suction cup to the patient's face mask or tracheal tube and begins CPR with compressions. The vacuum created by the VAC will then keep the airway open, allowing for more effective ventilation delivery during compressions which eliminates interruptions caused by pauses or inefficient compressions, increasing the chance of successful resuscitation. The VAC kit has become popular in many medical settings as it simplifies airway maintenance while providing superior performance in emergency situations. It is an invaluable tool for professionals trained in CPR who want to maximize their patient's chances of survival. Learning how to use the VAC kit is a part of our individual and group courses, and we also sell this kit if you are interested in purchasing one.

When you purchase a LifeVac that is for sale in our store, you’ll also receive a Free CPR Face Shield to help you stay prepared in case of any unexpected medical emergency.
Choking Prevention Tips
Choking can be prevented. Food accounts for over 50% of choking episodes. Be alert for small objects that can cause choking, such as coins, buttons, and small toys. Check under furniture and between cushions for small items that children could find and put in their mouths. Toys are designed to be used by children within a certain age range. Age guidelines take into account the safety of a toy based on any possible choking hazard. Don’t let young children play with toys designed for older children. Latex balloons are also a choking hazard. If a child bites a balloon and takes a breath, he could suck it into his airway.

Some foods can cause choking. Keep foods such as grapes, hot dogs, raw carrots, or peanuts away from babies and young children. Cut food for babies and young children into pieces no larger than one-half inch. Encourage children to chew food well. Supervise mealtimes. Insist that children sit down while eating. Children should never run, walk, play, or lie down with food in their mouths. Be aware of older children’s actions. Many choking incidents are caused when an older child gives a dangerous toy or food to a younger child.

We Provide The Best CPR Mask Keychain for use during our training courses!
A CPR mask keychain is a small, portable device designed to provide a barrier between the rescuer and the patient during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). A CPR keychain includes a soft plastic face shield with an elastic head strap or nose clip attached, which can be secured around the patient's face while administering CPR. The device also includes two one-way valves that allow air to flow through the device without allowing any saliva or other bodily fluids to enter or escape. The valves are attached to a disposable filter that helps protect against bacteria and viruses to help prevent cross-contamination.

The CPR mask keychain is lightweight and compact, making it perfect for carrying in pockets or purses for easy access in emergencies. It can also be used as an educational tool, helping to demonstrate the correct procedure for performing CPR and providing a visual reminder to always have one on hand. CPR mask keychains are becoming increasingly popular with first responders, medical professionals, and those who may need to perform CPR in an emergency situation. LifeVac vs Dechoker For Those Unexpected Medical Emergencies
The LifeVac and Dechoker are medical devices used to help people who are choking and cannot clear their airway. When considering the pros and cons of LifeVac vs Dechoker, it is essential to know that while they may seem similar, there are some notable differences between them.

The LifeVac is an aspirator-type device that does not require any manual intervention, as all you need to do is place the mask over the person’s face and press a button to activate it. The device has been clinically tested and is considered to be safe for use on both adults and children. On the other hand, the Dechoker is an FDA-approved device that is more user-friendly and easier to use than the LifeVac. It uses a suction cup to grip the object in the throat and pull it out. While it does require manual intervention, its design makes it much simpler for caregivers or bystanders to operate than the LifeVac. Additionally, the Dechoker is effective in over 97% of choking cases making it an ideal device for many.

Ultimately, the answer to the debate of the LifeVac vs Dechoker is simple as both can be used in cases of choking, each having its own benefits. Caregivers and bystanders should assess the situation and determine which device best suits their needs before attempting to save a life. Whichever one you choose, it is important that you have access to it quickly and use it properly to ensure a successful outcome.
